About the Role
As a Psychotherapist in our MST‑CAN team, you’ll play a key role in supporting children and families experiencing significant challenges. This is a highly collaborative position where you’ll partner closely with our therapists and receive strong clinical guidance.
You’ll be involved in:
- Conducting therapeutic and mental health assessments
- Contributing to treatment planning with your clinical insights
- Supporting the delivery of evidence-based interventions
- Working directly with children, adolescents, and adults within the family system
- Helping families improve safety, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Support the MST‑CAN team with clinical perspectives and therapeutic recommendations
- Participate in assessment processes for children and adults
- Contribute to collaborative diagnoses and treatment plans
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders involved in client care
- Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation
- Assist with safety planning and risk management
- Work within an evidence-based model with support from supervisors and experts

Essential:
- Relevant qualifications in psychotherapy, psychology, counselling, or a similar discipline
- Commitment to working with children and families
- Ability to work confidently and respectfully in family homes
- Strong communication and emerging clinical judgement
- Experience in child or family-focused services
- Exposure to child protection, welfare, or community support settings
- Interest in multidisciplinary and collaborative practice
