Volunteer Opportunity: Getting Ready for School Group
Dates: 15–18 September 2025
Time: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Location: Tuggerah

The Getting Ready for School Group helps children prepare for kindergarten by building the foundational skills needed to meet learning goals and milestones in primary school.

This program supports development in:

• Fine motor skills – early handwriting, cutting
• Social skills – sharing, taking turns, waiting
• Attending skills – listening, following instructions and routines
• Literacy skills

Led by senior Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, volunteers will gain hands-on experience working with children aged 2–5 years in a paediatric setting.

• Tasks: Support therapists during the program
• Age Requirement: 16 years and above
• Checks Required:
  • NDIS Worker Screening
  • Working with Children Check (NSW)
  • Working with Vulnerable People (ACT)
